Last Sunday night, the new Miss Philippines- Earth has been crowned. Karla Henry, a twenty- two years old who represented Cebu City was the winner of the pageant intended to protect our mother Earth. Miss Karla Henry who first joined Binibining Pilipinas last March but ended up nothing, instead the titles went to not so deserving ladies.

She bested 40 ladies from other parts of the Philippines and Filipino communities abroad. Her father is  from Canada and before she joined national pageants, she worked in a hotel in Cebu.

Another Filipino is making waves in the ongoing Britains Got Talent aside from Madonna Decena. This time it is a kid and named Charlie Green, yah he is half Pinoy. His father is a former singer, a British while his mother is from Cebu. Charlie is just ten years old and during the audition, he sung the song “Summer Wind” and clearly wowed the judges and got standing ovation from the easy to please audiences.

Charlie Green was born on the 16 February 1997. Even at the early age of two years Charlie regularly entertained family and friends with vocal renditions of classic songs such as, “New York, New York” and “If I Were A Rich Man”.

Filipina Madonna Decena, a mother of two kids who works as a club singer in UK was selected as one of the semi finalist on the show created by music guru Simon Cowell, the Britain’s Got Talent ….well…well… who also serves as a judge. Luckily she got three yeses from the three judges that even Simon can’t help but admired the mama who for her beautiful rendition of the song famously done by Whitney Houston. It was confirmed already by the news that the one who done the Survivor show in the province of Camarines Sur was the French Edition. Yes, first time in a reality show that it in two consecutive years it was filmed in a country. We know that the French version’s season 7 done in Palawan also in the Philippines and this new season ( in Caramoan, Camarines Sur.

Last May 5, NBC aired Deal or No Deal World Tour taped in the Philippines hosted by US resident show host Howie Mandel featuring Ms. Kris Aquino; the Philippine host, the 26K (the models) and our own banker. Her performances are absolutely free for all her fans but special passes will be given away to Ayala Malls shoppers for a chance to get good seats and see Vanessa up-close.

After the super duper successful concert of Neyo, Maroon 5, My Chemical Romance, Mandy Moore, Duran Duran and many others in Manila, another singer - songwriter will invade the Philippines.

James Blunt scheduled date in Manila is on May 19, 2008 at the Araneta Coliseum. The truth is….I fall in love about this lad whenever I’ve got to listen to his music. His first single “You’re Beautiful” became a smashing hit in the Philippines and always played on the radios. Aside from that one I personally love that “1973″ song…. I dont know…just love the melody, and the music video is cool too. Can’t wait to see him here in the Philippines, I’m sure he will love this place.

Deal or No Deal - an Endemol owned gameshow which is famous worlwide including USA and the Philippines is having a world tour. Yes and the one who’s doing it is the US version and they included Philippines as their stop together with Estonia and South Africa.

Kris Aquino, a veteran talk show host in the Philippines is co hosting the show in time the show will tape the episode here, and yes Howie Mandel , host of the US and Canadian version of the game will be here together with the American contestants.

Goodnewspilipinas.com reported that televiewers in America will soon see how their favorite game show is played in the Philippines.

ABS-CBN Business Unit head Alou Almaden said that American contestants will be playing the game according to the rules of the show’s Philippine version with the local Banker and 26K girls.

OMG….. the pambansang Krung- Krung ng Philippine Showbiz Sandara Park ( you know) the Korean girl who became a runner- up to Hero Angeles on the first season of Star Circle Quest (ABS- CBN reality show for those who wants to be a star), is now in Korea (her hometown). The good news was that she appeared on a music video there with a Korean singer Gummy. Lol! watch the video ahead …. I just love that. I think that was creatively done. Bravo to this girl who left the Philippines broken hearted and end up doing great in Korea. It was said that she will appear also in a new drama. I saw her being interviewed on Entertainment Live and I guess she was happy for what she is doing right now.

The 18 year old famous reggae singer-songwriter, Sean Kingston, is coming to Manila on April 17, 2008 to perform a one-night free concert in Glorietta.

Sean Kingston, or Kishean Anderson (his real name) is behind the chart topping hits ‘Beautiful Girls’, ‘Me Love‘ and his current single - ‘Take You There‘ under his self-titled album released on 2007. The Jamaican-American performer has collaborated with some famous singers like Fergie for ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry‘ Remix, Natasha Bedingfield for ‘Love Like This‘, ‘What Is It’ with Baby Bash and ‘Roll‘ with Flo Rida among others.
