The ReTreat.
October 21, 2008
Me and my classmate were on a Retreat at Calumpang last week, the exact date: October 16-17. We gathered at around 7:30 am in school last 16 before proceeding to the venue. At first looked at the place, reminded of the old ghost house what i saw on tv and movies….lol… but it was the place where the Passionists lived, (a group of seminaries – long before were Americans occupied the place, who happened to be the founders) a quite, where things we considered <font color=”red”>”makamundong bagay”</font> confiscated, such as cellphones, cameras, etc… pero OK, i’m used to it. I can live without those cellphones as long as the availability of foods were there.
We entered the retreat house with nothing to expect (gago0)….of course meron. We listened to the persons who conducted their lectures such as Ate A, which talked about our lives. We met Father Josefh and that two soon to be a PApa … joke lang… priests. They are kind naman, they enjoyed in our company…means we’re jolly to be with.
If you look at the pictures, all of those taken at the very end of our stay….at the last minute, in time to go home. We just take the time to come up a remembrance daw!… OK, kinda bitin but still we managed to do it. I really love the environment at all. Peace, Quit, wala kang gagawin all day basta makinig sa lectures and wait and wait for the next eating time. (Am I getting lazy?) Hope not! It was just I really wanted it… to be at peace and think of the things that I needed to have a peace first. To have a peace of mind, I guess.
Confirmed: Me @ 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit
October 21, 2008
Yesterday, I received my magic ticket (my summit pass) for the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit that will be held at Family Country Hotel on October 25-26, 2008 (this weekend na iyan). Gates will be open as early as 7 in the morning. What i need to bring?….hmmmm…nothing…lol…just me and my cellphone… lol… I want to be there as simple as much as possible. Nothing to worry with excess baggage, laptops, cameras and other gadgets are acceptable but by bringing that too heavy for the small venue. I mean I’ve been there for parties and last Friday I visited the venue and they had this construction on one of their function area.

Ang Seminar ni Sir Andy —– Bow
October 9, 2008
Last Thursday afternoon, me and my classmates have joined this seminar conducted by Sir Andy of IT department. The seminar talked about the IIS web server and the Visual Studio C3 programming language on how this works on a mobile phone. The meeting started at 1 in the afternoon and ends at 6, my classmate Jean (…Jean what happened) mahirap talaga pag di makasabay sa lecture ni Sir no!!!!! hehehehehe. Buti na lang at gwapo si Sir kung hindi . Next week, we will have a seminar again….again…yes. I wanna think my adviser for this….nakakatulong talaga. Sana next time about PHP naman.
My Software Freedom Day Experience!!!
October 6, 2008
OK, this page is dedicated to anything and everything about me, hehehehe…so personal na itoh…
I wanna share to you my pictures last Software Freedom Day held in NDDU campus last September 20. The international event covers seminars and games which are related to of course Information Technology. Ok please no more datdat na…let’s go with the images….
As what I have said on the other page of this site we were composed of I think more than 5 universities, colleges and school on this occasion. The host was Mindanao State University (MSU), Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (the venue), the Holy Trinity College of General Santos City, PolyTechnic College, Ramon Magsaysay College, etc….
The topics being discussed at the seminar were all about (FOSS) Free and Open (what is that again!!!! – forgot !!!! patay kang bata ka!!! bagsak !!!!) Software. Such as the operating system UBUNTU, the Open Source Softwares, GIMP (equivalent to Adobe Photoshop) which is free and many more.
After long hours of listening to the speakers ….hmmm you consumed more than the scheduled time…GUTOM NA KAMI!!!!!! almost everyone were saying that they were hungry na daw. Susmaryusep!!! pambihira itoh…hehehehe…pero OK lang!!!! Pinapakain naman din kami kahit late na!!!!
It was an activity that I enjoyed so much specially when I joined the games such as PAINT me daw a Picture, and Amazing Race… One reason why I entered the game….just simply makes this experience worthy for me, this could maybe my last on this event that’s why I never let the chance pass. Go for it!!!! And of course I met some students from other school when we played the Amazing Race.
For the next Software Freedom Day and to those who will join…. masasabi ko…. MAKINIG sa mga speaker when they give a speech, coz it’s very informative and useful and let yourself/yourselves enjoy the whole experience. MABUHAY!!!
